Youth Conference

For Youth Conference we headed to Salt Lake to do the Amazing Race. We all got seperated into teams and found clues and all sorts of cool sites.

One of the challenges was to take pictures of all the statues at Temple Square.

Joseph and Emma

I just thought that was cool.

We then had to try and get a picture of the temple with all six spires in it. I did not quite get it.

There we go!

The Joseph Smith Building

Boy I look happy! I really was. It was a lot of fun.

Another challenge was to go to the Salt Lake Cemetary and find all the prophets graves and get a group picture with them.

This is definately my favorite picure.

We then had to race to the top of Ensign Peak and sing "High On a Mountain Top." And I was the first to the top thank you very much.
Our view of Salt Lake. This was also the place where Salt Lake was planned out as you can tell by the way the streets took like a grid.

On the last day we went to the temple to do baptisms

Our beautiful Temple.

All in all we had a great time........and my team won!

My Trip to Palmyra, New York

Well as some of you might know, I went to YFE the first week of June. YFE stands for Youth for Excellence. It is kind of like EFY, but more of a spiritual expierience and you learn a lot more. We went to Palmyra, New Yorkand and stayed in the Palmyra Inn. It was a blast! Me and my cousin, Jordan, flew there together and then met my other cousin, Jared, in Detroit. When we got there, we had about five hours of free time. Me and my two cousins met these two girls, Amanda and Bethany, and we walked over to the Temple grounds and then to the Sacred Grove. It was only a ten minute walk...that will give you an idea about how close we were to everything.

This is the Palmyra Temple on our first day.

This was our view of the Temple from the road.

I thought this sign was pretty cool just cause you won't find it anywhere else.

Now here are some awesome pictures, taken by your's truly, of the Sacred Grove.

I thought it was awesome how the trees make and arch over you.

If you can't tell, this little rock wall is said to be Joseph Smith's Property line.

This is a really friendly skunk that we saw on our last day in the Sacred Grove.

This is what it looks like when you are looking up. We were given about an hour of personel time in the Sacred Grove and I thought that was a cool picture.

Another reason why I shoud be a photographer.

A SIGN!! No just the sun setting in the Sacred Grove.

These are the two most amazing counselors in the world, Brittany and Dustin Richins (I hope I spelled that right.) They were incredibly nice and fun.

These were all of our leaders and they just made this trip better than I could even imagine.

This is me and Jared giving our serious faces in the Joseph Smith home.

The Testimony of The Three Witnesses.

WOW! I did not realize how close I was to Canada.

High School Musical pose with Jordan, Mckenna, Jared, and ME! on temple grounds.

Well, earlier, Mckenna asked me to do wedding poses and one of them was me holding her like that and I guess Jared was a little jealous.

Then, it was my turn.

Me, Amanda, and Bethany having an awesome time at the temple.

awwww....

This is me and Aleesa Young. She was one of the counselor's daughter.

That is me and Mckenna.

Me showing off my dancing skills.

"My three handsome grandsons," as my grandma would put it.

The beutiful temple.

This was our whole group at the temple.

Me and Amanda......good times.

Well that is self explanitory.
This is the original Alvin Smith Grave. The church had found it laying down it the weeds so they put it in this granite case and rewrote what it said on the back. Me Jared and some friends. This is Joseph Smith's doctor's house. It is said to be the oldest house in Palmyra
We all went to go get ice cream at this really cool place called Chill and Grill.

Me and Jared goofing off.

We also got to go see the original Publishing site of the Book of Mormon. Lucy Harris' Grave. Just chilling at the Joseph Smith home.

We had a really cool view of the Temple from the Sacred Grove.

Joesph's farm house.

The house that Alvin Smith built for him and his family.

This is the view of New York City from the plane. I hoped to see the buildings, but never got close enough.
